About our stationery

Card stock

It is essential that wedding stationery is printed on really heavy card, or it looks flimsy. We use a number of different boards, none less than 300 gsm, that come in a choice of finishes. One of our favourites looks slightly dimpled, like watercolour paper, and another has a linen-type weave. We also use a fine, smooth Conqueror for some of our most delicate designs.

Type of print

All our cards are digitally printed using the most up-to-date technology. This means that a) we can produce very small print runs, and b) we can keep our print prices right down. More traditional litho print is far more expensive and, nowadays, has no significant advantage in terms of quality.

If, though, you really want litho print or have set your heart on a fancy finish like foiling or embossing, we can certainly do it for you. Just bear in mind that it will increase the price accordingly.

Card sizes

While we can produce cards in any size that you want, our invitations and cards are usually A6, DL or 15cm square. RSVP cards are slightly smaller, so that you can enclose them with invitations. Orders of service or orders of the day are usually A5 booklets.

Matching envelopes are included in our prices, as long as they are ivory or white. However, we can also supply just about any colour of envelope you can imagine - though we will need to charge extra for these.

At present we cannot print on envelopes (although we can hand paint little designs onto them, should that be your wish and desire).
